Doesn't DD look absolutely thrilled? She's been working on two piano pieces for a couple of months now. When she first started working on them, she kept saying how hard they were. I myself almost gave up in frustration when she absolutely could not even get through the first couple of phrases. But with a lot of practice, she was able to get through the pieces. Then, she had to memorize them. One is two pages and one is four pages. She was intimidated, but luckily, she memorizes like her Mama and not like her Papa. *WINK*She played the pieces in front of a judge today, and she got the highest award--a blue ribbon! Honestly, I don't know how hard the judging was. This is the perfectionist mom talking, of course. DD's teacher says that she is doing well and progressing faster than many her age. That is the proud mom talking. Congratulations, Sweetie! :)
